Hello everyone! I hope you all are enjoying the nice fall weather! We are definetly a bit jealous, but we have had a wonderful time here in Vietnam. We started our trip in Ho Chi Minh City and it was there that we met with our new friend! We immediately felt a great connection and were able to discuss and learn many things about him and the work he is doing in this new place. The next day, the day of rest, we had a great day meeting lots of other new friends and later sharing a bowl of pho together. We also got to try all of their Vietnamese snacks! Later that evening we were invited to go to a lady's shop where they have a group of kids come and sing songs and learn. We had a great time sharing with them, and they seem hungry for more. They were are so cute and sweet! The next couple of days we went to several college campuses with our friend to meet people and tell them about a new English class they could join. Where hopefully college students would grow closer together and would open up to great teaching. We are so excited to have made such amazing friends and look forward to keeping up with how their work is going. We hope to stay in touch for years to come!
We also took some time while in Ho Chi Minh to learn more about the Vietnam war. We were able to go to the museum and hear about the effects the war had on not only the Vietnamese people, but other countries that were in evolved including ours.
Our last couple of weeks have been full of non- stop travel. I mean, we are TIRED. With that being said, we have made some of the best memories and seen some of God's most beautiful creations. We spent a couple days in a town called Hoi Ann where everywhere you look they have tons of colorful lanterns hanging. We then went to small place called Ninh Binh, where they filmed most of the newer King Kong movies. We had the privilege to visit a Unesco World Heritage site, and one of the seven wonders Called Ha Long Bay. This was one of the most beautiful view we have ever expericed. Our pictures can't do it justice!
Lastly, we do have some exciting news! We are currently planning our trip to Japan! We are so excited that this door has opened. We will be leaving for Tokyo in a few short days!
