INTO THE WORLD

So our first two weeks here have been quite the roller coaster. Between the language barrier, getting used to different places, finding transportation, food, and places to stay, getting money out of the bank, not getting bit by the monkeys..... Its been wild.     Hello everyone!      When we first arrived here in Indonesia we were staying in a place called Nusa Dua. Here we were able to catch up on sleep mostly. It has been extremely hard to adjust to the new time zone! We seriously would wake up at 5 am and go to sleep by 6 most nights! We left Nusa Dua exactly one week ago and headed for a Central island town of Ubud. We enjoyed the ride though new places and lots of fun sights. What we did not know is what we were heading toward… Bum Bum Bummm. So a few days ago I started looking for our next place to stay for this week. I found a very nice quiet looking guest house just outside the main area of Ubud. It was very quant with the fundamentals: air conditioning, wifi, and clean. It also had a nice looking little pool and breakfast included. When we arrived a very kind man greeted us with a big smile on his face. But, as we walked through the courtyard entrance we realized we had chosen a once in a lifetime chance to be Mowgli for a week……Th

     Holy moly what a journey! We have safely arrived in Indonesia! We are so thankful for all the prayers for our safe travels, the Lord definitely paved the way for us.       Preparing for this journey has been quite the challenge to keep up with the regulations and travel restrictions. We were pretty confident that we had all of the correct documents, but at the same time totally unsure. When we stepped up to the departure counter in ATL we ran into our first problem. The airline we chose weighed the carry on bags which we did not know, so we had to check an extra bag and pray that all 3 arrived in Indonesia. Then we stood there waiting for her to review all of our documents one after another which felt like the longest 5 minutes of my life. My parents and I were each praying while Brandon gave her each of our documents, and sure enough we checked all the boxes and were able to board our first plane!      We then said goodbye to my parents which was a very hard goodbye.
